Going to Tenby in South Wales tomorrow for the Long Course Weekend. I am doing the 2.4 mile sea swim on the Friday evening and then the 112 mile cycle sportive on the Saturday. Missing the marathon on the Sunday, because my running days are over because of the knackered arthritic hips.

The Casati InoxT 99 will have a run out on the roads of Pembrokeshire and I am really looking forward to that, although the weather does not look good - wind and rain. Cycling's worst. I bought some new bib shorts and a jersey in black and yellow from Race Scene today (www.racescene.co.uk). I also bought a new black and yellow Kask Mojito helmet. I already have yellow shoes, so I will be colour coordinated. That will be lost if it's raining and covered by a rain jacket and the new summer waterproof overshoes my daughter Fiona bought me for my 60th birthday. I will have to use them early - the big day isn't until 29th July.

A rest day on Sunday I expect, although Charlie the Dalmatian will need a walk, or rather at least two on a nice beach somewhere. Julie and Bethany are coming for the weekend to watch, as well as Bethany's friend Leigh and her friend John, who are swimming and cycling as well, and Leigh's partner Al will be there too.

Last time I was in Tenby was for Ironman Wales in 2013 shown in the photo. I am on my Casati Mistral then.
