I will be having a number of book signings in the next few weeks. At least one at Barnsley Hospital, one I hope at the Chronicle Bookshop in Barnsley and other venues which will be confirmed. Watch this space for more news.

Book signing at Barnsley Hospital

I will be doing a book signing in the Anaesthetic Department at the hospital between 2pm and 4pm on Friday 16th September 2016. The office is on the ground floor on the left side of the corridor as you walk from the main entrance towards the medical wards (17, 18 etc), and chapel. It is just after the exit to the car park.

In Barnsley there are copies in Race Scene, Sheffield Road, Tony's Barbers, Racecommon Road, The Post Office , Pogmoor Road or The Chronicle Bookshop, Church Street, as well as the Anaesthetic Department in the hospital

Book Price.

I have done everything possible to keep the price of the book down. When I first had it printed 250 copies were included in the original package from the publisher. I priced the book at £6.99. However, when I asked for another 500 copies I discovered the best price I could have them printed at was £5.10, so if I sold through a retailer at £6.99 with their up to 45% cut I would be selling at a loss. It was never a money making venture, but I felt that everyone was making a bit of money and not me! In fact, with the up-front costs of publishing I am unlikely to ever break even anyway. Unless it's a bestseller. So I increased the price on the book to £8.99. I am selling at £8.00 on the website and that is the case in some outlets. There are also some books still available at £6.99, so you will find price variation if you hunt around. Please excuse me!
